The Four Oaks is the perfect place to stay this autumn if you are looking to stay in one of the various Llandudno seafront hotels, especially if you are taking part in the Snowdonia Marathon this year, and will require a comfortable atmosphere post race. Our high quality rooms and dining facilities will provide you with everything you need to feel relaxed and peaceful after the fantastic running event is completed.

The very first Snowdonia Marathon took place in 1982 with the intention to popularise a more rural marathon as the increasingly popular city races took place. The route takes you all the way across Snowdonia’s visually stunning and demanding landscapes. The challenges present to runners in this marathon have cemented its place in the annual marathon calendar.

The race will begin at 10:30 from outside the small town of Llanberis, and following a route along the A4086 you will find your way to the top of Llanberis Pass. The road will then take you to the A498 which heads downhill along a farm track, but will suddenly incline up towards the campsite. From Beddgelert you continue along the A4085 to Waunfawr, through Bwlch Y Groes and back down to Llanberis.

Registration for the event will be at the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre on Friday October the 27th from midday onwards, and a brief registration period happening on the Saturday, 6am till 9am. There are several pay and display car parks to choose from around the villages that happen to be a pleasant walking distance from the registration point.

We at the Four Oaks Hotel can not think of a better way for a marathon runner to relax after completing such a difficult, strenuously task than to stay in one of our luxurious rooms overlooking the Llandudno seafront, with their feet up and a hot bath running.
